Uploading Bag a Bargain

Prepare the thumbnail image #
  1. The home page thumbnail gets updated to match the cover of the latest Bag a Bargain. The psd file can be found here:
    The psd file is called Bottom CTA.psd and can be found in the WEBSITES – Distributors and Brandz/WEBSITES_The Distributors/Shared Assets/Home Page/Bottom CTA folder. There are a few different artboards in this file and you only need to update the artboard called Bag a Bargain Long.
  2. Save as The-Distributors-Bag-a-Bargain.jpg.
Prepare the Bag a Bargain PDFs #

There are at least two pdfs: 1 for Queensland and 1 for Accredited (Victoria)
Sometimes there will be 3 – 1 for Qld, 1 for Accredited & 1 for Brisbane.

  1. Make sure the PDFs are no larger than 10mb. If they are, reduce the size.
  2. In document properties Add Title name in description e.g. April Bag a Bargain & make magnification: Fit Height in the Initial view section.

Name the pdf – Month-BAB-DistributorsBranch e.g. April-BAB-Accredited.pdf.

Upload PDF and thumbnail to Distributors Head Office server #
  1. Use FTP to login into Head Office Server – login details can be found in the current Master Passwords file. Upload all PDF’s and both images to the BAB folder – /opt/bitnami/wordpress/members-pdfs/bab. Delete previous PDFs and overwrite the image file already there.
Update source code and image #

(Bag a Bargain is uploaded to the following websites only: Albury, Dandenong, Geelong, Bendigo, ACW, Beach & Bush, Brisbane, Cairns, Toowoomba, & Mackay.)

  1. Login to Distributor websites (Login Details are in Master Passwords file)
  2. Click on Pages in the left sidebar
  3. Find the row with /home and click the Create preview button on the same row on the right
  4. Click on Content dropdown
  5. Navigate to the HTML Blob widget in the dropdown that has the catalogue thumbnails – look for the one that has similar code to below.
  6. Copy the code below
  7. Paste the code over what is already there and then update the file name and start date
  8. Click Save & Publish on the top right of the browser

  5. Then find the Content Bar (2 Column) with the text New specials coming soon! and make sure all Visibility is checked
  6. Click Save & Publish on the top right of the browser
